Chile triumphed over Honduras with a minimal 1:0 win in the two teams’ first game in Group H of the 2010 World Cup in Nelspruit.
Chile’s Jean Beausejour scored the only goal in the match in the 34th minute giving his team its first World Cup victory in 48 years.
The Chilean national team dominated Honduras throughout most of the match.
The second Group H match and the final game from the first round of the group qualifications of the World Cup in South Africa is between Spain and Switzerland Wednesday afternoon.
