The national football teams of Bulgaria and South Africa drew 1:1 their friendly match Monday night.

In its last friendly before hosting the 2010 World Cup, South Africa played Bulgaria, which failed to make it to the largest football forum, before 30 000 spectators on Orlando Stadium in Soweto, a suburb of Johannesburg.

The South African team dominated the first 20 minutes of the match but after that the game was rather equal.

The goal for the hosts was scored by Siyabonga Sangweni in the 20th minuted. Parma’s striker Valeri Bojinov equalized for Bulgaria in the 31st minute.
