On May 10, 2010, the amendments to Bulgaria's Electronic Communications Act providing for the tracking and the retention of Internet and mobile phones data by the Interior Ministry.

Sources from the Ministry wishing to remain anonymous have leaked information that the best way for Bulgarian Internet users to avoid any negative consequences of the new legislation is to befriend Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov on Facebook, to add him to their Skype contact lists, and to utilize all other social networking tools - and skills - in a similar fashion...
