Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov has scored for the 1:1 draw of his team Parma against Fiorentina in the Italian football championship Serie A.
Bojinov has turned into a major scorer for Parma, according to the Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport. He has scored 8 times in the Serie A 2009-2010 championship so far, including two goals against his former team Fiorentina FC.
“I congratulate my teammates for their concentration during Saturday’s match. We played very well despite the early goal that we got. I am a professional and have got to score whenever I get the chance,” Bojinov is quoted as saying.
The Bulgarian striker, who is owned by the English team Manchester City, has made clear his desire to continue playing for Parma.
“My future depends largely on my contract with Manchester City but I will say once again that I wish to stay in Parma. I love this city and the fans, and the people around here. I definitely have no intention of leaving,” Bojinov told Gazzetta dello Sport.
