INSEAD Professor Ilian Mihov is going to join the Bulgarian government in April-May 2010.

This has been announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, who spoke on a bTV talk show Sunday night.

Ilian Mihov had been named a new Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister without a portfolio who would be in charge of EU funds absorption and Bulgaria’s Eurozone accession.

Yet, according to Borisov, Mihov is going to join the government no earlier than April-May 2010 because he had commitments having to do with his teaching job at INSEAD.

If he joined the cabinet now, he would have to be off for weeks each month in order to fulfill his commitments.
