The trial against former Prime Minister and "We Continue the Change" co-leader Kiril Petkov will officially begin on June 10, with the hearing of witnesses
The Sofia City Court has started the trial against the former Executive Director of the State Agriculture Fund, Asen Drumev.
Drumev is accused of criminal breach of trust. According to the prosecutors, he signed three contracts, by which he caused BGN 500 000 losses to the State Agriculture Fund.
The Court judges refused to return the case to the case to the Prosecutor’s Office at the request of Drumev’s lawyers, as they had previously done in June. They also called the first witnesses to the stand.
The Sofia City Court canceled the legal procedures against Drumev on June 30. They returned the case to the Prosecutor's Office saying that it was unclear to whom the damage is caused. The indictment did not say whether the damage is caused to the Fund or to the Finance Ministry.
