Match statistics of the National Basketball Association of US (NBA) will be electronically processed at the Daticum data center, located in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia.
Synergy Sports Technology, the American company that supplies statistical and analytical information on basketball events, chose Bulgarian company Daticum to process 95% of its sports statistics.
The US company has developed the biggest platform for sports statistics in the world and caters for the NBA itself and all its member clubs.
It also processes data for the biggest European basketball championships, including those of Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey.
Team trainers and coaches are the principal users of the analytical platform. They receive directly processed information, full analysis of matches and opponents’ tactics, as well as analyses of specific game situations.
Each single match is simultaneously processed by 30 to 40 experts positioned in different points all over the world and who understand the game in minute detail.
A special team at the Daticum data center has been trained to look after the maintenance and operation of the complex satellite, video and IT infrastructure.
The Bulgarian company was established in 2008. The secure center, located in Sofia, features electromagnetic shielding, and for protection of data, complies with international standards of environmental and disaster prevention.
