Miss Bulgaria 2009, blond beauty Antonia Petrova, will be leaving on November 6 for London to take part in a dinner and several days of rehearsals, organized by the headquarters of Miss World pageant.

Antonia says she speaks English well and will have no need to take extra lessons. She says she plans to amaze the jury and the public with an elegant outlook and a version of a Bulgarian folklore dance, specially prepared for the pageant.

The city of Johannesburg hosts the 2009 Miss World final. The event which takes place on 12 December 2009 will be the second in a row for the city.

120 participants representing their respective countries are due to arrive in the city of gold these days for a month of preparations prior to the glittering final at Gallagher Convention Centre.

There would be stage performances by an array of South African and international artists. The event would also showcase the world’s loveliest women and Joburg’s most fascinating attributes.

Now in its 59th year, the Miss World contest is the world’s biggest annual television event, with a global television audience of more than a billion viewers.

Audiences across the world can expect a spectacular entertainment extravaganza, starring the world’s most beautiful women and showcasing the many facets of the city of Joburg – which will also play host to the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
