Bulgaria’s export of meat has increased by 45,8% in the first six months of 2009.
According to data of SFB Capital Market, a Bulgarian consultancy, the country’s meat export doubled in the second quarter of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008.
At the same time, Bulgaria’s meat import dropped by 2,7% in the first six months of the 2009 compared to January-June 2008. The decrease for the second quarter is 2,3% compared to the second quarter of 2008.
The total turnover of the Bulgarian meat producers increased by 10% in the second quarter of 2009. Bulgaria’s internal market has also seen higher sales of poultry and beef.
