Berlusconi: My Sympathy for Bulgaria Turned into Love: Italian PM Berlusconi: My Sympathy for Bulgaria Turned into Love

Bulgaria's President, Georgi Parvanov, bestowed Thursday Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, with the State Order “Stara Planina.”

Parvanov pointed out that the award demonstrates the high marks given by Bulgaria to the Italian PM's leadership role in international politics, the 130 years of progress of the bilateral relations, the strategic partnership and the beneficial political dialogue between the two countries.

The President voiced his hopes Berlusconi would assist Bulgaria in the release of the frozen EU funds and the overall improvement of Bulgaria's image in Europe and the world.

“If you become a political tourist, representing your country all over the world, Bulgaria can gain significant influence,” Berlusconi replied, adding Parvanov is always welcomed in Italy.

Berlusconi, who is the first foreign leader to officially visit Bulgaria after the appointment of the new Cabinet of the rightist Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party, spoke about his strong sympathy towards Bulgaria, which later turned into love. He told how while watching footage from the Yalta conference he saw Bulgaria and Romania remaining under Soviet rule and felt deeply saddened for the country's harsh destiny, often misunderstood by Europe, something that become the reason for the Italian PM's unwavering support for Bulgaria.

In addition to diplomatic courtesy, Berlusconi confirmed before Parvanov that Italy will support additional compensations for Bulgaria for the closing of Units 3 and 4 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and the absorption of EUR 7 B form EU funds.

The two also talked about the importance of the completion of the gas pipe line “South Stream” and Bulgaria's second NPP - Belene.

Official numbers for 2008 put Italy right behind the UK on the 7th place. Also, 'Little' UK has larger population than Italy. Don't know about 2009 tho as no official numbers have been released yet.

"Berlusconi is the last remaining true democrat in Western Europe"

That's probably the most funny statement I ever read here. This is what you get when one person is owning almost all the media in one country and brainwashing the population over many years. Some people really start to think that the clown who is running the country like his private property is 'the last remaining true democrat' in Western Europe.

Berlusconi is the last remaining true democrat in Western Europe, leader of the 6th major economic power in the world (Italy overtook Little Britain this month, but please don't tell the Brits!), and despite all the efforts of the WASP's media and propaganda, Berlusconi is at the elm of a great country.
Italians are not stupid!
If 65% of the Italian electorate prefers Berlusconi to lead their country, there must be a very good reason, isn't it?
I take this opportunity to salute the WASP which infiltrate forums and newspapers spreading lies, and hiding their true colours!
Ciao!

The Book of Mormon is NOT true.

The devout Mormon believes this text is inspired because Joseph Smith said it is. He believes Smith had the authority to claim divine inspiration for the Book of Mormon because the book itself says Smith was a prophet and had such authority. According to the Mormon church, authentic Christianity can’t be found in any of the so-called Christian churches—only, of course, in the Mormon church.

The fact is that the only church with an unbroken historical line to apostolic days is the Christian Orthodox Church. Even many Protestants acknowledge this, though they argue that there was a need for the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century.

As historians admit, it can be demonstrated easily that early Church writers, such as Ignatius of Antioch, Eusebius, Clement of Rome, and Polycarp, had no conception of Mormon doctrine, and they knew nothing of a "great apostasy."

Nowhere in their writings can one find references to Christians embracing any of the peculiarly Mormon doctrines, such as polytheism, polygamy, celestial marriage, and temple ceremonies. If the Church of the apostolic age was the prototype of today’s Mormon church, it must have had all these beliefs and practices. But why is there no evidence of them in the early centuries, before the alleged apostasy began?

Can Mormons produce any historical proof to support their claim that in the early centuries the Church was Mormon? They can’t do it because there is no such evidence.

The Book of Mormon itself suffers the same fate when it comes to its own historical support. In a word, it hasn’t got any.

The awkward part for the Mormon church is the total lack of historical and archaeological evidence to support the Book of Mormon. For example, after the cataclysmic last battle fought between the Nephites and Lamanites, there was no one left to clean up the mess. Hundreds of thousands of men and beasts allegedly perished in that battle, and the ground was strewn with weapons and armor.

Keep in mind that A.D. 421 is just yesterday in archaeological terms. It should be easy to locate and retrieve copious evidence of such a battle, and there hasn’t been enough time for the weapons and armor to turn to dust. The Bible tells of similar battles that have been documented by archaeology, battles which took place long before A.D. 421.

The embarrassing truth—embarrassing for Mormons, that is—is that no scientist, Mormon or otherwise, has been able to find anything to substantiate that such a great battle took place.

Here is another nail in the coffin of your cult:

"The highest concentrations of the Q lineage in populations outside of the Americas are in the Selkups and Kets (66-94%) adjacent to the Altai Mountains in southern Siberia. The Altai populations also contain the highest frequencies of the American Indian mtDNA founder lineages A, B, C, D and X.5 Since Siberian Altai populations contain high frequencies of both paternal and maternal DNA lineages that are most closely related to American Indian lineages, it is particularly likely that the Q-P36 lineage arose in Siberia.

Both Zegura (2004) and Seielstad (2003) conclude that Q-P36 lineages in American Indians descend from a common lineage that was present in Asia between 14,800 and 17,200 years before present. This age rules out the possibility that American Indian Q-P36 lineages originated in a Middle Eastern group that came into existence just 2,500 years ago. These estimates are also consistent with the most recent age estimates for New World mtDNA lineages of about 19,000 years ago, as presented in a 2008 study co-authored by Mormon researchers Ugo Perego and Scott Woodward."

Re: Kinderhook plates hoax

"Eventually in 1980, the scientists used destructive testing methods on the plate, and proved conclusively that it was not an ancient plate, and was likely manufactured in the 1800s in the manner described by the person that claimed to have made the plates. After that, the church backed off on its claims that the Kinderhook Plates were real. The LDS apologists quickly changed their story and stopped defending that the plates and Joseph's translation of them were true. Now the LDS apologists say it was all a hoax, and Joseph never fell for it, and someone other than Joseph must have said that the plates tell a story of a descendant of Ham."

HAHAHAHA! Those slippery Mormons! You can't pin them down to commit to anything.

" "Doouche bag" is a Nellie trademark. "

Paying attention, are we?

Tell me, what does the Mormon organization say about the book of Abraham? I am sure they have an apologetics explanation. How about the Kinderhook plates? DNA evidence?

It would be something daft like: "Joseph was not speaking as a prophet, he was speaking as a man, and men are not perfect." I think he wrote the BOM as a man, since it is all nonsense.

The Kinderhook plates were a set of 6 small, bell-shaped pieces of brass with strange engravings which were claimed to have been discovered in 1843 in an Indian mound near Kinderhook, Illinois.

According to Wilbur Fugate in 1879, the plates were carefully forged by three men (Bridge Whitten, Robert Wiley, and Wilbur Fugate) from Kinderhook who were hoping to trick the Latter Day Saints (Mormons) headquartered in nearby Nauvoo.

However, the Kinderhook plates are not universally accepted as a forgery. Some Mormon researchers question the reliability of the Fugate confession and point to evidence that the plates could have been authentic.
