One of the most popular Serbian TV channels “PINK” was attacked by a bomb shortly after midnight Sunday.
According to unconfirmed information, two young men on a bike threw a bomb against the main entrance of the building in Belgrade where the TV network is located. The incident occurred after a verbal altercation between the men and the TV security guards.
There are no reported fatalities or injuries, just material damage. The Belgrade police searched and sealed off the area around the attack. All high-level Serbian Interior employees reported to the crime scene.
Belgrade has seen lately an escalation of street violence, something President Boris Tadic considers an obstacle to the country’s EU integration.
