Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, has sent a letter to the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation DKEVR.

The letter demands answers on publicly important issues having to do with electricity prices and the policies of the electricity providers, the cabinet press center announced. The DKEVR head, Konstantin Shushulov is expected to submit the answers by September 3, 2009.

The questions include:

1) the degree to which the Czech-owned company CEZ has fulfilled the regulatory acts of the DKEVR regarding the monthly payment of electricity bills (the company has tried to introduce quarterly payment of electricity bills despite public protests);

2)data about the real investments of the electricity providers by the end of 2008 and their effect on the consumers regarding the improvement of their services;

3)data upon which the end prices of electricity are formed around the country;

4)degree to which DKEVR's regulations of water supply services have been obeyed by the respective companies;

5)average monthly salary of the members of the DKEVR and its administration.
