The Bulgarian Government has appointed Wednesday a Deputy Minister on European Affairs as part of the Foreign Minister, Rumiana Jeleva's, team.

This has been announced Wednesday by the Council of Ministers' press office.

The Deputy Foreign Minister who will be responsible of the European Affairs will be Krasimir Kostov.

The appointment is a result of the removing of the position Minister of European Affairs as part of the administration reduction program of the new GERB Government.

The procedure for electing the members of the "Council on European Affairs" has also been altered. The members are now approved by the Prime Minister after the Foreign Minister has suggested the candidates.
