The future Bulgarian Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, said Wednesday that the latest European Commission report on Bulgaria is critical.
He also said that the trend of critical reports on Bulgaria's progress was continued in this one too, Darik Radio announced.
In Tsvetanov's words, the EC evaluation is objective, and the new government will take in consideration all the recommendations given in the report.
Tsvetanov, who is also chair of the parliamentary group of the GERB party, stressed on the need of analysis of the reports on the activity of the state security agency, DANS. The agency has fallen short of people's expectations, he said.
The agency must continue its work, but a cooperation between the interior ministry and DANS, which now lacks, is needed, Tsvetanov explained.
GERB supports the creations of special authorities to deal with organized crime and corruption at high levels, he added. Tsvetanov also said that the new government was willing to prosecute people from high government levels, who had abused their power.
