Bulgaria Arrested Bulgaria Deputy Minister Dealt with Roma Boss: Arrested Bulgaria Deputy Minister Dealt with Roma Boss Filipov was arranging Stoyanov's companies to win public bids, and taking orders of millions for construction projects.

The arrested Bulgarian Emergency Situations Deputy Minister, Alexandar Filipov, has been arranging public orders for the Varna businessman from Roma origin, Baku Stoyanov.

This was announced by the Sofia City Prosecutor, Nikolay Kokinov, Darik Radio reported.

So far, accusations have been made against Alexander Filipov and Baku Stoyanov, officials reported.

In Kokinov's words, the price of the traded votes was BGN 50 each.

Filipov was arranging Stoyanov's companies to win public bids, and taking orders for millions for construction projects. In return for the favors, Stoyanov had to give 30% of the contract value back in cash, and the money was used for buying votes.

Baku Stoyanov had to buy several thousand votes, mainly from the Roma minority. This did not happen because of his detention.

Both of them were buying votes for the National Movement for Stability and Prosperity (NMSP), according to anonymous sources.
