The prices of the basic foodstuff in Bulgaria has decrease in June 2009 year-on-year.

The statistics have been presented Sunday by the Bulgarian State Commission for Goods Exchange and Markets.

Price fall between 1-3% has been registered in June month-on-month for flour, sugar, and chicken. The price of eggs has decreased by 10% to BGN 0,15 per piece, and the cow cheese has become cheaper by 5%.

However, there is 1-2% increase for the same period in prices of some meat products, fish, rise, lentils, and cooking oil.

In the fruits and vegetables market there is a usual for the season significant decrease of prices month-on-month.

The biggest fall is for cherries (-47%), followed by tomatoes (-37%), cucumbers (-23%), and cabbage (-24%).

In June 2009 year-on-year, the biggest decrease of prices is for lemons (-50%), cooking oil (42%), flour (-35%), apples and cherries (-19 to -22%).
