Sofia residents will be able to enjoy a live broadcast of Richard Wagner's opera "Valkyrie" featuring mega star Placido Domingo on June 24.
The opera performance with the Spanish tenor as Sigmund, will take place in Valencia, at the "Queen Sofia" Hall and will be shown on a big screen in front of the national Palace of Culture in downtown Sofia. The Bulgarian capital is one of the several European cities to enjoy the world class event.
The 20-square meter screen has been used previously to broadcast football matches and provides great visibility from many locations around the building.
The event will free of charge, while some opera fans will be even able to see it from the chairs to be placed near the screen, especially for the show.
The performance begins at 8 pm and will last 5 hours.
