Four people were killed and 13 others wounded when a car crashed into the crowd at a parade with Queen Beatrix and the Dutch royal family.

The accident took place Thursday in the town of Apeldoorn during celebrations for Queen's Day, an annual holiday in the Netherlands. No royals were hurt.

The black Suzuki crashed into a monument, narrowly missing an open bus carrying the royals.

Police have not confirmed the number of casualties or commented on the reason for the incident.
