The Bulgarian TV Channel "Nova Televizia" has issued an official media statement expressing regrets about the tragic incident that took the life of a teenager.

13-year-old Martin Martinov, from the Danube town of Kozloduy, died Monday while trying to imitate the realty show "Fear Factor," which airs on "Nova Televizia."

The TV channel further states that the show idea is to promote the strength of the human will, of psychological and physical endurance.

"Nova Televizia" offers condolences to the young man's family and points out that each "Fear Factor" episode includes warnings that any imitation of the filmed trials and tests is dangerous to people's safety and lives.
