The Sofia Regional Prosecutor's office has officially accused Krasimir Gorsov of stealing BGN 123 000 from the charity fund set up for his daughter Manuela.

Krasimir, the father of Manuela Gorsova, who was left in a coma in car accident caused by World figure skating champion Maxim Staviiski, has admitted misusing his daughter's accounts and has stated that he was gambling BGN 4,000-5,000 each night, sometimes loosing as much as BGN 6,000 in a matter of hours.

According to the Bulgarian Penal Code, Gorsov could be sentenced to up to 5 years in jail, Trud daily newspaper reported Tuesday.

On August 19 2008, the Bulgarian TV channel bTV aired an investigative report showing Gorsov gambling huge amounts of money and simultaneously feeding several slot machines with BGN 100 bills.

Manuela was left in a coma after a fatal car crash caused by world ice-dancing champion Maxim Staviski on August 5, 2007. She is now back at home in Veliko Tarnovo after being given special clinical care in Israel and is expected to slowly recover from her comatose state.
