Bulgaria's Eurovision Performer Hurt by Criticism
"The Voice", as Avramov is called, gained infamous popularity due to the scandal surrounding him and his song "Illusion" at the "Eurovision 2009" contest. Many professional musicians blamed "Voice man" of being an awful singer, and asked him to quit the contest.
More than two weeks after the scandal Avramov expressed his pain from the allegations in a public announcement.
"I never thought that I could suffer such personal threats, even against my family and relatives, and everyone who dared to be on my side. I apologize for the pain to everybody who has been affected together with me", Avramov said.
He reminded that in 1995 he had a concert, named "Say No to Aggression", and unfortunately, years later he has become a victim of the biggest aggression in his entire life.
Avramov is explicit that his victory is fair and well-deserved. He added that Bulgaria has always been his biggest pain, and he cannot imagine bringing any shame on the country.
"I believe in my song, I trust myself, I believe that united we will succeed for the sake of Bulgaria", concluded Krasimir Avramov.
Currently, he continues working with a big team from the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) towards the improvement of the song, and making it easier to perform. If he can handle the new version of the song, Bulgaria will avoid the disgrace of declining to take part in the Eurovision contest, and paying financial sanctions for that.

This is a terrible indictment of Bulgarian society, and its music industry in particular. Why should they use such mafia tactics against this guy? Jealousy? Bitterness? Revenge? Really the so-called "musicians" of Bulgaria should stop acting like village feudals and leave this man and his relatives alone!
