The Bulgarian opposition Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) Party is going to create an IT Ministry when they come into power, the Party's Chair Tsvetan Tsvetanov announced Sunday.
Tsvetanov spoke during a round table between GERB representatives and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, titled "IT for faster development of Bulgaria".
Tsvetanov said that GERB envisioned closing the current Ministry of State Administration or, at least, restructuring it in order to create the IT Ministry. The new Ministry would have legislative and control functions and will be created because 20 years from now only 2% of all documents would continue to be on paper.
The GERB Chair further spoke about his Party's firm position that the upcoming Parliamentary elections must be held at the same time as those for Members of the European Parliamnet.
