Commenting article: Bulgarian Students' Disturbing PISA Results Show Need for New Teaching Methods

Bulgaria has to do more than overhaul school curricula and to talk about changing methods of teaching, the country's national coordinator for the PISA study has said.

Her comments follow the publication of last year's figures for the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a worldwide study by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The study [PDF] showed Bulgarian ninth-graders' level of functional literacy was much below the OECD average.

Absolutely not!!! the teaching methods are OK.. the students are not OK... now in the universities are accepted students that are below the average level of intelligent and below the average level of motivation and labor skills. It is because Bulgaria lost the majority of the capable young people due to the massive brain drain and sucking of human resources by the more developed western economies \'(via the propaganda of the liberal global organizations)..,. these students are not capable of assimilating advanced knowledge but they are accepted in the universities in order to preserve the infrastructure of the universities which have to close otherwise.

In addition the pressure from the liberal (Soros's supported) organizations led to educational reform that created 100 new universities...... all in time of a demographic crisis and depopulation... this dissipated resourses ruined the academic infrastructure and lowered the standards...
