Commenting article: Europhilia Doesn't Mean Russophobia - Bulgaria's Opposition Presidential Candidate

Socialist-backed presidential candidate Rumen Radev has said Bulgaria "should not look on Russia as an enemy."

Radev, who is expected to face the candidate of ruling GERB party in a runoff following November 06's presidential elections, has told Reuters he would pursue a balanced foreign policy, based on national interest while also taking into account Bulgaria's membership in NATO and the EU.

He has made clear Bulgaria's membership in both organizations "has no alternative."

with 5 left candidates the chances for Radev are slim..he is one obedient survivalist that managed to become general without heaving military force under his command..(Bulgari has no air force). so it in unclear in what his expertise is... if he had attempted a Coup I would respect him more.... but he just waited for a pension.
