Commenting article: GERB Withdraws Bulgaria's ex-Energy Min from Belene Committee

Bulgaria's main ruling party has pulled former Energy Minister Delya Dobrev out of the parliamentary committee set up to look into the circumstances around the abandoned Belene nuclear plant project (NPP).

The development follows a request sent from the prosecution to Parliament to have Dobrev's immunity as a lawmaker revoked.

The prosecuting authority maintains that evidence suggests we should be tried for abeyance regarding the Belene NPP project in his capacity as minister of economy, energy and tourism back in 2012-2013.

He mislead the Pampkin Head so many times so it is time for revenge.....( I wonder what is going to happen to the present finance minister one day)....Dobrev cant defend himself in Bulgaria.. he cant say to the prosecutor that the liberal anti-Russian \"international community\" and EU demanded for us do many dishonoring and self-harming acts and we had to obey.. \"so I am not guilty.. I had to follow the political line imposed in the economics and energetics in spite of the fact that it is harmful to us\". this explanation is not working in a national state... It is time for mister Soros\'s organization to run in defense of Dobrev. I am sure they will brief the prosecutor\'s office.
