Embattled Varna Mayor, Kiril Yordanov, finally announced Wednesday he was resigning from the post he held for a number of years.
Yordanov made the announcement minutes after 12 pm inside the City Hall, which was crowded with police, media, and citizens anticipating the news.
He said his name has been tarnished in recent days, thus he could no longer represent Varna residents....
Is there any instance in Bulgaria where you open a political figure's biography and do not encounter a can of vermin?
If not, is it not time for a National Parliament to change the constitution, since the people will not trust ANYONE who assumes political leadership in Bulgaria - they are AUTOMATICALLY labelled corrupt. Is Bulgaria so lethargic, so devoid of hope, that nothing can be done to provide a democratic rule by the People in this country?
If so, it is a bad here as it is in the United States.
