Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, reiterated Saturday his firm conviction that scrapping the project to build a second Nuclear Power Plant in the Danube town of Belene, had been the best decision.
Borisov made the statement in an interview for the weekly political talk show of Darik radio, stressing that a referendum on the issue would have been a very complex and impossible to organize procedure of asking people to say yes or no on the NPP plans.
"It does not make any sense to continue circling around something that has started 33 years ago, both sides know that," the PM stressed....
Boyko, what is a crime for Bulgaria is that shepherds like you can become prime ministers and run the country. Bulgaria will never develop and become a modern advanced country with politicians and government like yours, which basically destroy every single opportunity for development and progress.
You are self-destructive anti-progress horde of losers keeping the country in the past century! It’s an embarrassment!
The "shepherd" is PM because the sheep voted for him - that's called "Democracy".
If you describe building NPPs and creating nuclear waste for generations of our children to worry about "development and progress" then I'm happy that such shepherds are here to take care of the flocks of us who live in Bulgaria and protect us from such crazy ideas.
Perhaps you have some other shepherd in mind who is more to your taste, Mr Zheliazkov?
Dear Seedy, do you also worry if your children will be able to pay the electricity bill or are you rich enough to be sure that will never be a problem for you and your children?
It will be for the majority of the Bulgarians ...
Especially when seeing how much solar plants have risen in the country. All last year. The price of this solar will be calculated to the consumer which means electricity price between now and 5 year will double. Especially now there is no extra cheap source which could keep it from rising only 50%.
BTW, you do know, even if there are no nuclear plants ... You still will have nuclear waste which you need to take care of?
Or you really have no idea and just believe the green fairy tales and you just want to be a good man by doing the good things the good ones have told to you...
Seedy, you must be some of the Boyko’s prot?g?s.
Boyko is an ignorant firefiter, don’t team up with him. Stupid idiots like him and Todor Zhivkov, Stanishev etc. etc. have been ruining that country and the whole Balkan area for centuries.
Nuclear is the best, cheapest, cleanest and safest way to produce electricity.
That monstrosity Maritza Iztok for example is an ecological disaster and it should be closed!
Bulgaria will be without nuclear plants in 5 to 10 years when the EU will force the country to close the existing, aging outdated ones and the electricity will have to be imported.
Boyko and his government as many previous governments ruined many other projects and opportunities and that’s why the today’s economical condition is in status as the poorest country in Europe and the average wage of 400 levas.
I wouldn’t worry about the nuclear waste, it can be sent back to Russia, it’s a business!
Bulgaria needs new leaders, flexible enough to handle the rapidly growing Eastern opportunities and the stagnated, saturated Western ideology and markets! You can’t side up and team up with one or the other side only!
It’s a different world out there!
Sorry to interfere, but: "I wouldn’t worry about the nuclear waste, it can be sent back to Russia..."----в России своего говна хватает,
приятель. And Russian people' opposition- to those highly placed
Russian idiots who transform Russia into nuclear waste dump- increases from day to day......
"Nuclear is the best, cheapest, cleanest and safest way to produce electricity"----simply myth.
"cheapest"---Study of Massachusetts Institute of Technology' scientists (2003) shows: Price of 1kwa at newly built NPP (charged at
85% of its nominal capacity)--within 40-year period of work--will be
US$0,067, i.e. higher than 1kwa from coal or gas PP, Same results in France-gas PP' electricity is chipper, etc...
"cleanest"---oh, yes, if to "present" nuclear waste to, say, Russia, but what if one day Russian people-politely but firmly-say "NO"?
"safest"---the ONLY ONE Chernobyl-style event will be more than enough both for BG and all its neighbours..........Sorry once again.
