Commenting article: PM: Belene NPP Won't Be Just Bulgarian-Russian Project

The future second Bulgarian nuclear power plant at Belene will not be solely a project of Bulgaria and Russia, according to Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

"Belene won't be just a Bulgarian-Russian NPP, and there won't be any such NPP during my government," Borisov told reporters Friday at a press briefing after meeting with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Bulgaria's new Minister of Economy, Energy, and Tourism Delyan Dobrev.

Borisov also said he consulted the European Commission in Brussels on whether it would be possible to install at the existing Kozloduy NPP the first of the Russian-made nuclear reactors slated for the future Belene plant, for which Bulgaria has already paid two-thirds of the price.

If the bureaucrats actually work just 30% Bulgaria will be a paradise country.
