"The proof that God is real is in existence."

How does that one work? Just because you perceive yourself, doesn't mean you can posit anything you want.

Science is not a religion. It is only a methodology for making inferences and predicitons, something that _some_ religions try to do.
How can you say that your religion comes between you and your god, then claim that your religion is science?

"My God is whatever drives the universe"
How do you know there is something "driving" the universe?
I think it you stretch the definitions enough you'll say "everything is god, so god exists".

"Time, space, energy, matter--what more real proof do you want?"
How about a scientific proof? If science is your religion, then you should be able to prove this scientifically. Science relies on something called "empiricism". You have do be able to see it to believe it and predict things with your explanation. authority/tradition and your innability to explain something cannot be used as proof.

You must be kidding around :D

I am not kidding. There is some power that is unknown and unknowable to humans and that is what I call God. Not the old guy in heaven. The mystery behind existence is God. Science has discovered some of the secrets, but not all. But science has come up with more universal truth than any other religion. I have faith in science including physics, biology, medicine, chemistry, astronomy more than in any religion. Not one religion knows as much about existence and the universe as science does.

This line of reasoning goes against the scientific method itself.
I repeat again, science is not a religion, it is a method for reasoning and coming up with predictions. That is not the definition of religion.

"There is some power that is unknown and unknowable to humans "
If it is unknowable, how do you know that there is a power then? Or do you say "everything I can't explain must be due to God"?

The human experience of existence might be puzzling, but it can be explained through neural processes.
And the reason God is intuitive can be explained through evolution.
The main lesson of science is that what you think is intuitive might be totally false, or if you follow the pragmatic view of truth, totally useless.

There is a scientific principle called "Occam's razor", the notion of "God" doesn't help us predict anything new so we can remove it from our world view.

I have no use for religion or for its definition. I believe in the power of existence. Of course science is not religion, but it is MY religion. Science deals in quantifiable entities and religion deals in faith, or the suspension of disbelief. I am just saying that if I was to believe in something, it would be science rather than religion.

"I believe in the power of existence."

I'm sorry, but I am befuddled by this. My head is going to explode, because it just doesn't compute. I'd ask you to explain, but I think maybe we should end it here.

"My head is going to explode, because it just doesn't compute."

Hm, I couldn't find the video of the explosion on youtube so far, but maybe someone can post us a link here?!

LOL

Al,

"On this background, I'll kindly ask, if you are gay?

That might explain your slightly compulsive behaviour."

Interesting that you said this. I had the same feeling about our new 'friend' here from the very beginning, especially after he reactet so sensitively when I called him 'a real man'.

LOL

I'm sorry to everyone that has to read this nonsense.
DrFaust has some sand stuck in his vagina from a previous encounter, if we could raise some money for him to see a doctor, that will be great.
Thanks.

By the way Faust,

Calling someone gay is not an insult, try again.
I despise your homophobia.
If you choose to have issues with someone else's sexuality do it in the privacy of your own home with your buddies.

You are giving Bulgarians a bad name in the eyes of the civilized world. Try saying something intelligent.

Hey Mihail,

didn't you promise me a bit earlier to leave me alone 'from now on'?

You seem to have a rather short memory indeed. It took you a very short time to not 'let me alone from now on'.

"Calling someone gay is not an insult, try again."

You are right. I don't care if you are gay or not, but you sound definitely very gay. Obviously it is you who feels insulted by that, just like you felt insulted by my mild irony in the beginning. You seem to be indeed very easily insulted. When you look in the mirror, do you also feel insulted? I am quite sure about that.

"I despise your homophobia."

Homophobia? No way. Telling you that you sound very gay is not homophobia, it's just stating the obvious.

"If you choose to have issues with someone else's sexuality do it in the privacy of your own home with your buddies."

Maybe you should go back and read your first message adressed to me. It is you who has the issues, not me. It is you who 'chooses to have issues with someone else's sexuality" which you should do in the privacy of your own home with your queer buddies, and not me.

Are you sure your real name is not Ser-gay?

"You are giving Bulgarians a bad name in the eyes of the civilized world. Try saying something intelligent."

Not everyone can make such 'intelligent' remarks like you did above. Especially that a Non-Bulgarian can give a bad name to Bulgarians in the civilized world by the things he is saying. That's really another clear sign of your 'intelligence'.

LOL

What you just wrote has zero value for the human race, it is a waste of computer memory. You seem to have developed some kind of obsession with me which is not healthy.

I said I would leave you but I feel the need to address your recent burst of petty insults to the rest of the people with which I am having a discussion.
You are the annoying child that is interrupting the discussion of the adults.

I have never felt insulted, but I have pointed out when people have tried to insult me. The reason I do that is because I don't care much for that, it breeds an uncivil discussion and I don't like ad hominem attacks.

You are clearly homophobic and I'd suggest for you to leave this forum. We don't need Westerners reading these things thinking we are backwards people.

Hey Mihail,

"I have never felt insulted"

That's really strange.

First you complain that it is disgusting to make remarks about a person's sexuality - forgetting that YOU made remarks about other people's sexuality first. Do you want me to go back and quote you?

Now you tell us 'I never felt insulted' when in your earlier rantings you kept on harking on the fact that 'you feel insulted' by my calling you 'a real man'. Do you want me to quote you again?

Are you suffering from arteriosclerosis or from Alzheimer's?

And I don't know why you call me homophobic. You are an idiot and you are obviously gay, and that may be just a coincidence.

I don't have a problem with the fact that you are gay, because I don't care about your sexual orientation. I also don't have a problem with the fact that you are an idiot, but when an idiot is addressing me like you do, you should at least stop whining when I give you an appropriate answer.

"You are clearly homophobic and I'd suggest for you to leave this forum."

You are clearly a retard and I suggest that you leave the forum. And then maybe you have time to google 'homophobic' and see that you are wrong, if that's not too intellectually challenging for you.

"We don't need Westerners reading these things thinking we are backwards people."

Who is we? I have nothing in common with you. I am neither gay, nor an idiot, nor (no offence) a Bulgarian.

LOL

PS: And be careful when you answer, I might as well correct YOUR typos and language errors.

LOL

Dr Faust, my lovely internet companion and secret admirer, I am honored that you would spend so much time trying to prove I am gay. You deserve better, someone that is like you. You deserve "a real man"!
