hercules,

I made a wrong assumption (if I understand you rightly)--substituting a glorious event for glorious ambitions. Just one of those things...:-(

Glorious?!? Destruction of civilization, the fabric of society and culture can never be termed glorious either in ambition or in fact. There is nothing glorious in mob rule.

I would be very interested to know what you think should have happened and why?

"I would be very interested to know what you think should have happened and why?"

What should have happened is for Russia to develop and evolve into some sort of constitutional monarchy (like Great Britain) and for people like Marx, Lenin and Stalin to never have ruined the lives of millions of people for 75 years. There is nothing glorious about wars and revolutions.

America should not have revolted against Great Britain. America would be a part of the Common Wealth now, like Canada or Australia, both much better off now than the US.

I could never have seen Russian with a constitutional monarchy, as all the circumstances were difference for it it happen and the British had found another way to give rights to their people, a lot earlier. Democracy was born!

I can think of worse people in history than Marx, Lenin and Stalin who have destroyed other people lives, and it will continue as long as human beings live on this planet.

America being part of the UK…… I thought it was the other way around !!!!!

Some claim it would have been better if the revolution never took place. Damned feudalist pigs. An interesting, and little known fact about the 1917 October Revolution, is the Allied power’s hand in it. During the revolution, thousands upon thousands of allied troops, from Britain, America, France, Canada…and dozens of other capitalist nations were sent in to quell the revolution. Why, you ask? A very plain and obvious reason – the allied powers wanted Russia to stay in the war. It was not truly communism at the moment they feared, even though the allied powers propagandised it at their home front as the “Red Scare”, but it was the fear of a concentrated German front in the west once Lenin made peace with the Germans, as he eventually did. Russians were being slaughtered, most Russians didn’t even have weapons to fight with, and German tanks simply rolled over their hay barricades and dirt bunkers. The allied powers were sacrificing millions of Russians so that they could relax in their silk beds and sleep a bit longer while the Germans fought Russia instead of them. In the end, 2,000,000 Russians lay dead, the 2nd highest after the German death toll. Who could have not justified the revolution but pampered bourgeois scholars? The revolution saved millions of Russians – and ensured a peace that no bourgeois government on this Earth would have ever allowed. It was the allies and their cronies who began the massive bloody civil war that followed, not the Bolsheviks.

Hercules,

The language you use—the slogans, characterizations, and passion (Damned feudalists pigs)--are taken straight from the pages of the textbooks for the Political Education courses we all had to take. Can’t you speak plainly and simply? And the utter nonsense: ” Who could have not justified the revolution but pampered bourgeois scholars?”

Are you so dense not to know your friends? Those pampered bourgeoisie scholars ARE your friends, the only and most ardent revisionists and apologists for your “proletarian revolution” ,in name only, for if it was not for the peasants you would have still be blabbering about lumpenproletariat and their unions that sold out your “glorious” idea and settled in comfortable cahoots with the dirty capitalists… Pfew, what a herculean nut you are, hercules ,lol

So, I am not going to spend my time “debating” your views. I have heard all of that, been subjected to the relentless propaganda and am sick of your slogans. Just like to mention that you are misinformed when stating:
“An interesting, and little known fact about the 1917 October Revolution, is the Allied power’s hand in it. During the revolution, thousands upon thousands of allied troops, from Britain, America, France, Canada…and dozens of other capitalist nations were sent in to quell the revolution. Why, you ask?”

I do not ask absolutely anything from you. You have not said anything in this post that I haven’t heard BEFORE. You must have been raised in a flower pot under a cover (a loose translation of good old BG saying) to think that you have discovered something new. Don’t know what makes you think that this is interesting and little known fact? It was part of the story of the civil war 1917-1924, which was messy and it resulted in the death and displacement of millions of Russians. Many ended in Bulgaria, and some lingered in Refugees camps in Trieste as late as 1950+ refusing to accept foreign citizenship, hoping to go back to their beloved country..Ha, the poor na?ve people...

Hercules, you are just a brainwashed commie. Enjoy your freedom and exercise your human rights in a free and democratic country. I can appreciate freedom. But didn’t have the luxury of living it in my Motherland. Don’t know where you hail from, but you are one lucky guy…

I took the extract from a Guy who wrote a very interesting article on the failure of Marxism, and of course should have known you would have taken it the way you did.

When you need to get personal and obnoxious to articulate a point its a big failure in a person’s character…… you certainly have got a lot anger and resentment for most things in this world.

I come from a country where we have always fought for our freedom in everything (and recently maybe too much for other people’s)

hercules,

Do I have a lot of anger and resentment for most things in this world? Didn't know that, lol

On contrary, hercules, I am very loving, content and cheerful woman. How about telling me where you are from instead of dropping hints?

“I have… Celtic, Anglo Saxon, a little Roman, Viking, and French blood in my veins…. Do I need to say more ?”

hercules,

I am not interested in the makeup of your DNA. I was asking you where you are from.

And no, you don’t need to say more. You already said enough in your previous post. You lost credibility as far as I’m concerned by admitting to using a plagiarized post (copy and paste stuff) from “a Guy” to “articulating your point” , and by passing judgment on my character uncalled-for (supposedly based on my response to some unknown entity of “a Guy”) . Weird….

The thing that I do find strange is that as you are obviously a Bulgarian, but have no annotations on how you see things now or in the future for your country. Only going on about the past!!
