The president should focus on modern and green technology and look into the future then whining and blaiming others for own faults.
Bulgaria closed the contracts and now it wants to renegociate. This is not good style.
This stupid discussion about Kozloduy is just a fake discussion, just to mislead that this coalition doesn't have something like a consistent energy politic and to canalise the anger of the street away from the parlament.
It's the typical "blame it on the EU" syndrome, rather than taking responsibility for the problems which are of their own making. Being 100% reliant on a very unstable Russia for gas and only having gas storage facilities for a few days? How stupid is that. The Soviet Union dissapeared 20 years ago Mr. Parvanov.
Instead of spending however many billions on a new Nuke, they could have expanded their gas storage facilities. Germany has Gas storage facilities for several months. This doesn't just protect them against crises like the current one. It also enables them to buy their gas in the summer when it is cheaper and store it for the winter thereby stabilising the price of gas within the country.
The BSP really are desperate for a few extra million in electricity export revenues. Why? Will the companies who sustained losses due to loss of gas supplies be compensated from that money? Or is it that the cost of Belene is spiralling out of control and they need a few extra million to service the loans?
