Commenting article: Lack of Professionals "May Cost Bulgaria its EU Funds"

Bulgaria may have to return lots of the money received from the EU funds due to the lack of prepared professionals, ethnic Turks leader Ahmed Dogan said.

Dogan returned Sunday from a two-day seminar in which his party Movements for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) discussed how the country would assume EU cash, Darik News reported.

Its a bit late for Dogan to be complaining now - as a key political leader he should have been driving this issue 5 years ago, not jumping on a populist bandwagon now.

Bulgaria should lobby for Turkey's EU membership. Turkey is the most powerful Balkan country. Almost all of Turkey's people and goods land transport is done through Bulgaria. Turkey is a huge market for Bulgarian products. The two countries need each other.
