The ITV clips are here:

I have to say that it's completely normal for British TV to produce a completely misleading story. TV reporters here generally have an IQ of about 90. If they were any more intelligent, they might begin to question the 'Western' spin given to news stories fed to them by our government. In this case, a bit of Russia bashing :-).

Perhaps bTV should come over to the UK and make a story about our gypsies being forced to live near rubbish dumps, scavenging for scrap there, dealing in drugs and various other criminal activities :-).

The European economy is falling off a cliff at this moment, and German banks are insolvent because of lending to Eastern Europe. Cars sales are not coming back anytime soon, and car production is 1/5th of the German economy.

If German, Irish, British and Russian FDI into Bulgaria falls close to zero, the only option is for BG to devalue the Lev, because it becomes impossible to import 25% more than you export without using up all the reserves for the Currency Board.

Is it about the holocaust, or is it about the distortion of truth? The Bishop is in my opinion slightly mad, and perhaps a religious extremist. However, should we deny him a voice? Is he any worse than the politicians who sway our opinions with rhetoric and propaganda? Or, other religious extremists? Freedom is truth, and maybe we have lost too much truth to the thought police in the past 8 years?

Yes, to borrow a phrase from Warren Buffett: When the tide goes out, you see who has been swimming naked :-).

I was thinking about who the Brits had sh*t on recently, but you almost got the right idea! :-).

Ironically, Icelandic toilets are preferable to Turkish ones at this moment in time! :-). However, I'm still p*ss*d off that my favourite hotel hasn't confirmed my reservation for this summer! Oh well, maybe Bulgaria will start to get better about service and efficiency after most of the mutri have gone bankrupt sometime this year, and some more sensible people take over? :-).

Spain will cut holiday prices to the bone, they'll need to, and flights there are *cheap*, really cheap. Bulgarian tourism will be dead for years.

According to the NSI Web-site, maybe it's more like a 4.8% drop, but then the numbers don't make much sense anyway!? There are more Brits than Germans visiting Bulgaria? And, there is no clue if the numbers are per week, month or year!? Or, if they're flights only!? Pretty useless information, really! :-).
