So this is how South Africa reacts- have they forgotten so quickly the position of Black South Africans and who supported them??? I dont remember China ever supporting teh Blacks in South Africa. Shame on South Africa.

Damn I agree with both of you except I like their feet cut off too for good measure. ;)

Nellie, I think you miss a vital point, I don't think these ladies are doing it for fun and pleasure on a whim. I can imagine a person forced to have sex 10 times per day even 20. We are not talking pleasure, we are talking exploitation of a person. Although normally I would find you almsot amusing I think the subject of slavery is not one that really lends itself to humor.

Simple maths...

2,000,000 / 8 = 250,000 per year

250,000 / 12 = 20,833 per month

say she was incredible and was paid 200euro per customer/session/whatever...

20,833 / 200 = 104 "sessions"

104/4 weeks = 26 sessions per week...

and even if you change to 100euro the charge..comes to 52sessions per week

so its very possible.... too late for you Nellie ..unless some people are interested in necromania ;)

Why do they deserve an increase in pay? Is it their efficiency? Is it their professionalism? Is it their honour? Is it the way they behave to the public? Is it the way they handle their duties? If they can answer YES to one question perhaps they deserve an increase. Having seen first hand how the Police behave I would reduce their wages.

Can they ban street dogs also...? How about banning rubbish? or... perhaps.. maybe banning people tossing rubbish on the streets? or... banning people emptying their care ashtrays in the middle of the road... or how about banning people wearing guns and hanging outside some restaurants looking like referees?

You know there is a ban on cars driving Vitosha Blvd? There is a ban on speeding. There is a ban on parking cars in school. There is a ban on taking the law into your own hands. Guess what? None of the bans are working.

The question I have- what if the beggars cannot pay the fines? What will happen to them then?

What annoys me is that beggars get banned but in Vitisha Blvd, NDK and sorrounding areas there is a nice little scam going on for years. Some people approach you (usually teen girls) and try to give you some postcard and you accept it thinking is free but then they ask you for a donation to some fake foundation. Silly people ofcourse give 2levs and foreigners even more. The scam works because there are always gullible people. The authorities and everyone else who lives nearby know it as a scam and yet nothing is done to stop it. So how about stopping such stupid scams?

There are many other things that are more pressing but yet the Municipality decided to pass superficial laws that really will not have any impact on society. How about removing the trash perhaps?
