There are 2 possible ways to get to Montana from Vratza and if you travelled in either roads a few times you will know the Police are stationed in the same place every time. The bet thing to do is always before entering the towns to make sure some fast car overtakes you ;)

If someone knows where the corruption was in the article I will also be happy to know it. Did they imply that the faulty radars were used to extort money from dirvers?

I know that a corrupt Traffic Policeman can do about 1000 things to get cash from you.I had a friend who had a cop who tried to charge him with every possible violation and the last one was- not having the emergency vest- but he did. The cop gave up and let him go.

So I am asking- exactly what does the story imply?

Nice one Mat, I was wondering what was going on. Your story makes senses now.

I guess now they may even start working on the dog problems on the streets .

If the Police and Prosecution office start working on these cases there is a 100% chance nothing will ever be solved. Mickey Mouse could do a better job than any of the individuals who work there.

"we will keep an eye on you"... so what???

the representative of Bulgaria (..the guys that get driven in black cars) dont give a damn about anything the EU may say to them for a simple reason, there are no personal penalties... what does it matter to them? forgte patriotism and anything else.. basically these people dont give a dman about tha nation.

the eu has no way to penalise these people and they know it so as long as this stays the same nothing will change.. politicians know well that they will not be in power long.. the probs of today are passed to someone else tomorrow.. for now theur are just worried about mounting small fortunes for themselves, friends and other interest groups... what is this concept of "nation".. and who cares... thats the way they think

what the eu and everyone else says about BG is 100% true and everyone here agrees, whetehr its official or not everyone knows.. whats the point of even arguing this..

Hmmm how about passing legislation backdating it such that all these deals are cancelled and they have to be re-approved by a Parliamentary Committee.. end of story... everything can be fixed, specially corrupt deals which are against the state.

If the gov wants to kill the deals they can be killed- all it needs is WILL... I guess nothing will happen and beautiful Bulgarian plots will be swapped for crap and some rich people will become richer and the minister's wife/son/father/brother/sister somehow will get also richer.

-son or relative of politician
-son or relative of senior administrator
-son or daughter of "someone" in the Police
-son or daughter of someone who had "property restituted"
-son or daughter of some ex/current-communist party member

there are so many 20'something both men and women driving expensive mercedes and bmw's they do not even turn heads anymore.. to turn heads now you need a Lamborghini or something similar..
