No Sveto, I am not out of my mind; are you? Maybe you should read up alittle more yourself and stop believing your own propaganda. My sources of information/literature are wide and varied and I form my own opinions, because I can. This I believe is a forum for all to express personal opinion. How do you know what I am or am not qualified for? Do you have a crystal ball there in front of you? And by the way, I do understand the way the world rolls. I am not a naive idiot. The cancer runs deep in Bulgaria, irrespective of whichever political party is in power.

Mladenov you twit. Couldn't even get the man's name right could you. For a diplomat, that was not very diplomatic. You have made a complete ass of yourself.

Yeah I get that too. The principle of the Gerb party sounds good in theory but why do we have to choose between the lesser of the evils at all. That short changes the real Bulgarian people as in the middle and lower economic demographic. The nouveau riche corporate world in Bulgaria was built on deceit and corruption and it is so incestuous and wrong and anyone in any position of power is inextricably linked. The cancer runs deep. New blood and talent is desperately needed. I am not preaching but just saying...........

Yes I agree with that Chuski and that is precisely my point. Something has got to give and for real change to begin. It has to at some point in time.

"The government of populist PM Boiko Borisov promptly resigned, plunging Bulgaria into political as well as economic crisis. Borisov's indecently hasty departure caused some to suspect Moscow's involvement, Russia being a powerful player in the energy business regionally. Others point the finger at the US. There is a palpable sense of confusion on the streets as ordinary people and false messiahs clutch at ideological and conspiratorial straws".***********************That is exactly what I thought, an indecently hasty departure, which has taken everyone by surprise. Borisov is sweating because his murky past has and is finally catching up with him. News flash on Australian TV............Berlusconi of Italy has just been convicted and received one 1 year prison time for only one of his trials currently ongoing. Are you listening BB????? You are not immune to anything as you well may think.

Tania OZ - 7 Mar 2013 // 13:53:19

Chuski, you don't think that Borisov is a Commie/Crook? He is at least one of those. It is far too evident for many decades now. Great wealth amassed, jobs for the boys, shady deals, girlfriend owns a bank amongst other business and is the richest woman in Bulgaria; the list goes on and on. And I think that Phillipe has a valid point about Borisov bringing Bulgaria to the heart of darkness. He already has. I believe BB is more of a coward than a hero. Look how quickly he jumped ship of his beloved Bulgaria. He is clever and sly and I believe he is running scared. There is enough mud sticking to him to keep elephants happy. Watch this space................

This is so outrageous but not surprising. Someone other than GERB needs to audit these last minute funds to establish exactly who and where the millions went to. It must be disclosed and thoroughly investigated. One can imagine that with no documentation some of the money may have mysteriously disappeared and perhaps some "favours" called in.

I think that these demands are quite reasonable; but it may be considered by all members of parliament just too much work to do the reforms and it is being delegated into the "too hard basket". It should be encouraged to have more of a choice of political parties and new candidates, rather than the usual current batch which it seems everyone is disillusioned with and quite sick to death of the same ole, same ole people.

Tania OZ - 7 Mar 2013 // 04:42:59

RIP Plamen Goranov..............Hopefully your death will not have been in vain. With Borisov and now Yordanov resigning from their posts there already seems to be a shakeup within Bulgaria and plenty more to come I would expect. The people have risen to voice their concerns in orderly protests across the country, now it is time to change the way things are done in Bulgaria; and for the government and justice systems to realise they must listen to the people; and most importantly, to "planta-genet" (sweep of the broom) the ingrained corruption out forever. Bulgaria is a proud country and peoples and deserves to shine in the eyes of the world.

An extra 4 million BGN hey. The outgoing government is throwing cash around like a drunken sailor. Think of what 4 million BGN could do for the health and hospital system. I have seen how filthy some of your hospitals are and needs alot of improvement. That would genuinely win you some favourable points BB not just supporting your well connected "mates" and their business interests and rorts.
