The secret meetings held only at night could suggest Free Masons have an agenda, and let's face it any organisation that forbids it's members from discussing that agenda with the rest of society is bound to attract it's fair share of critics.
If the Free Masons were to mend their ways and were to hold open meetings, ones that anyone could attend they would deal with this inconvenience once and for all, but they don't.
