Basically most of the candidates in the elections are for prison and the Galevi brothers have the advantage to have spent some time in jail while the others will never go there and therefore are suspectible to continue stealing and taking bribes.
At last someone who is worthy to vote for. Im in but Im not sure if they will let me vote if Im not registered in Dupnica - I dont think so.
Taro is right - I just paid for an external thermal insulation on my flat and the people did a very good job - it was done in a week and with a very good quality. Last year some guys spent 4 months to do the insulation of two floors on the top of the same building and were 30% more expensive than my company.
I somehow asked the boss (who worked like the others) how comes they are so fast and so good 'I worked for several years in Germany and learned everything there' he said - well, including to start working at 8:00 and not taking too much coffee breaks.
And I regret that the author had such an unfortunate idea to make an analogy with some book and movie for the sake to sound more interesting - the great minds and true intellecuals mercifully visiting this forum to share their knowledge with us instantly started a very intense and deep phylosophical discussion about the colour of the Dorothy shoes (silver shoes vs red ruby slippers)
thus demonstrating their great literature knowledge and intellectial capacity (or incapacity). Some people dont see the forest because of the trees and thats a genetic stupidity that has no cure.
Bai Ganio once wrote in a letter to editor accusing him he was in opposition
'And if it comes to flatter someone, I will beat you in this too - if you kiss the hands I will kiss the feet, if you kiss other place I will kiss yet another place - abe ti s mene li ste se merish be mekere!' So does Stanishev.
Barroso is one of the most uncapable EC presidents who achieved nothing so far, has no idea what to do with countries like BG and Romania, was not able to bring important EU projects to an end - not only political but also technological, was not able to reform the commission under the new circumstances. Normally he must go.
How was it - the EU has no money to waste for BG. Sure, because it wastes enough even without Bulgaria and Romania.
Basically we have much more work to do compared to the commission in order to make the EU project look attractive for other countries but the EC must change too because of the new realities and the new problems it faces.
The story with Bulgaria and Romania shows that the European institutions - EC, EP, various directorates and services, work effectively only when the EU countries dont need them and fix the problems pretty much by themselves. All the expensive pleasure to have them is on the backs of the taxpayers. The EU institutions must reform to function properly in EU with 4 speeds.
The EC tries to help BG+Romania the same way like a one-eyed person tries to teach a blind one to shoot - so far without great success. Now who is to blame - the blind who cant hit the target or the one-eyed who gives instructions and wonders why the blind doesnt see it.
Hi Taro,
Yes, I came back 3 months ago and work in one of the institutes of the bulgarian academy of sciences - I model the relationships between the mechanical properties and the microstructure of all kinds of materials, including nanocomposites, also did other stuff, again using mathematical modeling and computer simulation.
This is used a lot where you have high quality production and is a major scientific tool in general, not only in the industry. So I had a good life so far.
Helas, not in BG - we have to do tremendous work here. Maybe the smartest people I worked with, like ideas and organization and indeed reliability, are the Germans - we dont even speak about productiveness.
But in BG nothing is the same - I went once in an office building in plain center of sofia - all were of German and other foreign companies and people were still showing up at work at 9:50am although they have really good salaries.
So there is definitely a mentality problem here. And a sponsorship prolem, but while we can always try to find sponsors, little can be done with the mentality.
