Photo Story: Fall for The Mall

Text by Petya Bondokova Photos Sofia News Agency For all devoted shoppers, for lovers of a pleasant visit to a cafe with friends, for movie maniacs, for families who wish to spend quality time together and fulfill every wish at a single place - for all of them, Sofia is a better pace to be as of today. The Bulgarian capital waited five years to see its largest shopping complex. On Friday, Mall of Sofia proved that all the waiting was worth it. The overwhelming, luxurious edifice has brought under one roof trendy boutiques, pleasant cafeterias, fast food, business centers, a large bookstore, dry cleaning, hair and beauty salons, a special children's corner, and much more. Enough to guarantee not just several hours, but several days to spend inside and have fun and useful time! To put it shortly, the project was truly worth its grand opening ceremony. Led by top television host Niki Kanchev, the party for journalists and VIP guests featured cute Molly, the talisman of Mall of Sofia, as well as actors dressed up like Sts. Cyril and Methodius, the brothers who invented the Cyrillic alphabet, to usher the new word "mall" into modern Bulgarian language. Mayor Boyko Borissov, who cut the tape to the complex's main entrance, was also surprised by organizers. He received a large key to Mall of Sofia, with the recommendation to guard it as he guards the interests of the city. All guests had a good time getting lost inside the colossal edifice, exploring the numerous fashion boutiques and especially those of fashion brands that make their debut in Bulgaria. It was clear that it would be close to impossible to step inside Mall of Sofia and spend less that a few hours. Go check out for yourself - you will fall for the Mall!
