Text: Petya Sabinova Photos: Kameliya Atanasova Bulgarian rescue squads proved that the passengers at the Simeonovo cabin lift would be safe should any emergencies occur. In a day full of safety technique demonstrations the lift operators and members of the mountain rescue service gathered to exchange experience and work on their team-building skills. The teams started with indoor demonstrations and moved on to the more perilous display of rescue practices hanging meters over the ground. The rescuers showed admirable preparation in sliding along the lift line until they reached the stranded cabin and climbed into it. Then they tied each of the passengers and slowly lowered them to the ground where first aid crews were waiting to ensure their safety.
