Saturday's local elections in Bulgaria did not seem to get anyone excited. Except, of course, the candidates and their campaigning teams. The overall taste of the event was disinterest. And figures proved it. The average turnout was only about 30%, with the key port city of Russe with a catastrophic minimum of 10%. Now the key question for many experts is not who wins what. But rather what number of people will spare an hour to choose their city's governor next weekend.
