The National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences presents to its visitors a temporary exhibition "The Rescued Treasures of Bulgaria".
The exhibition is organized by the National Archaeological Museum (NAIM) jointly with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria, with the support of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the assistance of Sofia Municipality.
Its aim is not just to present impressive artifacts rescued from traffic as a result of successful police operations, but also to draw attention to a very serious problem, which is the systematic destruction of the rich cultural heritage of Bulgaria and the need for effective action against it.
The exhibition includes extremely interesting and valuable items from NAIM and 18 museums in the country relating to the era of prehistory, antiquity and the Middle Ages. The exhibition can be visited from 7 November 2018 to 27 January 2019.
