Photo Story: Turkey Mourning Victims of Ankara Twin Bombing

The official death toll from the two suicide bombings in Ankara has risen to 97 as of October 12.

No group has claimed responsibility for the two suicide bombings in Turkey’s capital city on October 10 that took place just three weeks before parliamentary elections.

The Turkish government believes that two male suicide bombers caused the explosions which hit a rally of activists outside Ankara’s main railway station. The participants in the rally were calling for an end to the renewed violence between government forces and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

The focus of the investigation is the Islamic State group, Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said.
