Photo Story: World Paying Tribute to Victims of Charlie Hebdo Massacre

People around the world paid tribute to the victims of the shooting at the offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris on 7 January 2015. French President Francois Hollande declared a national day of mourning on 8 January, with flags flying at half-mast for the next three days.

Vigils were held across France, as well as other cities around the globe including London, San Francisco, Berlin, Madrid and Brussels. The phrase “Je suis Charlie” (“I am Charlie”) has become a rallying call for people expressing solidarity with the victims around the world.
