Bulgaria remains the leader in the European Union in terms of air pollution, according to the World Health Organization.
The highest concentration of the two main types of particulates has been measured in Bulgaria, the WHO latest data has showed. Poland and Romania rank second and third in the negative rating.
The highest concentration of particulate matters in Bulgaria is found in the city of Pernik – 74 micrograms per cubic meter of particulates smaller than 10 microns, and 52 micrograms per cubic meter of particulates smaller than 2.5 microns. The air pollution is high in the capital city of Sofia, as well as Plovdiv, Dobrich, Pleven and Veliko Turnovo. The residents of the Black sea city of Burgas breathe the purest air in Bulgaria....
I suspect that this report is preparing Bulgaria to accept a massive hike in green taxes because other EU countries definitely are more polluted than Bulgaria. Wait for the demands for wasteful windfarms which kill birds and cost more to keep going than they produce in energy (but which make lots of profits for the manufacturers) , fields of solar panels which also kill birds as is happening in the US (and make lots of profits for the manufacturers)
I don't know about Bulgaria, but if you go in this website showing live air quality monitoring - aqicn . org you can see a totally different picture from what they state here. Air quality in Belgium and Netherlands seems the worst. And some parts of UK at evening also get a bad number for pm 2.5
Not to mention that in this "news article" you cannot find a link to the reference....
Dear Cole Tyler its common sense - your post just confirms that when your wife is in BG she stops smoking crack cocaine, injecting heroin and snorting ketamine, and this contributes to less congested ears, nose, throat and reduced mucus production in the alveoli.
The report is poppycock my partner and I live in the UK but we have a place near Veilko BG. She coughs most of the time at home and uses a blue and red pump also takes meds for her chest when we visit our holiday home within 24 hrs she doesn't need no pills/pumps so what does that tell you???
