NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said Russia is threatening peace in Europe.
"What Russia is doing now in Ukraine violates the principles of the United Nations charter. It threatens peace and security in Europe," Rasmussen told reporters in Brussels on Sunday.
Rasmussen, as cited by the BBC News, called on Russia to deescalate tensions and urged all parties involved to continue efforts to resolve the dangerous situation....
you seem to be a bit confused about geography, history and maybe a few other things.
Guantanamo doesn't belong to Cuba but to the U.S. - so what would give "us" (who is that supposed to be?) the right to invade Cuba because the U.S. use Guantanamo as an extralegal prison and torture center?
You seem also not to know about Canada/Quebec. Canada was at that time a possession of the UK that invaded Quebec in the 18th century. So, if France would have liked to punish the invader, it would have needed to invade Britain (and they did indeed since they invaded Hanover, at that time part of Britain). Btw, Quebec was invaded in 1775 by American troops that wanted to free it from the British. So better don't talk about a topic about which you absolutely don't know a thing.
As for Hong Kong: that Hong Kong was for a certain period contractually ceded to Britain was the result of the Opium War that was imposed to China by the British and with which Britain forced China in the name of "Free Trade" to open its market for the British opium that they produced industrially in India and with which they made huge profits at the expense of the Chinese people. So if anybody would have a right of invasion, it would be China's right to invade Britain - according to your crooked "logics".
Get your history and geography right before you start a discussion with ridiculous, wrong and inaccurate pseudo-historical arguments. Otherwise you will just sound like another one of these dimwits who talk geopolitics here but have a problem to find the Ukraine on a map.
Let me try to give some sort of a drastic example to what have happened there for the sake of clarity to the western world. Try to put them in Russian place.
Just imagine that Russia somehow managed to gain some access and influence to Canada and Mexico. So the Russians have managed to influence those two countries politically and have managed to stir violent demonstrations. Then they even managed to overthrow the governments of those two countries and replace it with pro Russian governments. At the end to just top the things they redirect all the trade from those two countries to Russia.
Now my question to you is: How do you think the Americans will react to all that madness? Hell yes they will send the army to those two neighboring and trading partners to regain influence!
Yeah this is what have happened in Ukraine and it was done by the Western world. The problem here is that “marionette” governments like this usually don’t deliver and the today’s “heroes” Klistchko and Tourchinov (a turk or whatever he is…) will be tomorrows pray when they fail to deliver prosperity and are replaced with other politicians.
Saying all this I don’t endorse the idea of Russian troops in Ukraine. In my opinion Russia is wasting its time and money with Ukraine and should pull back home.
Ukraine is a “bad apple” with lots more change of governments and turbulence to come!
(BTW last comment from me, I really had it with that crap, it’s all wrong)
Now first of all NATO should have been dismembered and ceased from existence long time ago!
Then on the Russian issue yes it would be way better for the Russians if they just bring their troops home and offer citizenship and passports to all their minorities in all of the ex-soviet countries and bring them back home to Russia where they will be contributing to the prosperity of the country. In Ukraine alone there is probably around 10-15 million Russians.
About Ukraine…. Russia should pay them money to stay away from them, Ukraine is a drag and many decades to come trouble (multiple government changes and many more violent demonstrations), they are just a bunch of disillusioned problematic troublemakers dreaming to be treated as third class citizens by their new hypocritical western friends. Just look what they are doing to Bulgaria and Romania and how about those bellowed Americans… STILL asking for visa?!?
Ukrainians, you are NOT French, British or American and not very long from now you will realize that. Destroying your Slavic, religious roots and relationship with Russia is the dumbest think you could do! Anything you wanted to achieve would have been better and faster doing it together with Russia and the rest of the Slavic world. Friction and violence is never good!
My Russian friends just get your troops and go back home, it’s not worth it to waste money and possibly human lives and be condemned by the entire world.
Stay away from the Ukrainians so you can get ahead in the game!
