Commenting article: Bulgarian 'FBI' Seizes 350 000 Fake Ballots from Printing House near Sofia

Officers of Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security (DANS) seized 350 000 fake ballots from a printing house in the western town of Kostinbrod one day ahead of the May 12 parliamentary elections.

The operation was conducted Friday night at the Kostinbrod-based printing house near Sofia, according to reports of Sega daily and the BGNES news agency.

The printing facility is owned by the Multiprint company of Yordan Bonchev, municipal councilor in Kostinbrod from center-right party GERB, who is also said to be an ally of former Interior Minister and Deputy Chair of GERB Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

Chushki, I agree on your opinion on the 3 way coalition members, and maybe you are right about these 350.000 ballots.

But, the modus operandi of the GERB leaders during the past years is very doubtful. Their arrogancy went too far.

Your country can maybe continue with GERB, but not with BB, TT and their leutenants.

They belong in a national park somewhere in the Rodopis together with the other AKA's: "Bulgaria's AKA-land".

But, to use Sasha's words, the "faute de mieux" situation in BG does not make it ease for the voters.

Mat, This is just the latest act in a dirty tricks campaign choreographed by the former communist BSP who are still well connected with the Bulgarian secret services and Turkish owned media operating within the country, all aimed at smearing the former GERB government. The 'fake' ballots in question were labelled as 'spoiled', sealed and stored in a secure part of the warehouse as election rules stipulate - and whilst there is no doubt this will be confirmed in due course, the fact this 'scandal' hit the headlines on May 11 the day prior to the election via TV7 (owned by Ahmed Dogan, former leader of the ethnic Turkish party, confirmed communist era spy and close ally of the BSP), and that other alleged 'scandals' concerning wiretapping were also leaked through similar sources just prior to the election just illustrates the powerful figures working behind the scenes to re-write history and shift electoral opinion to ensure a return to power of the disgraced BSP- MRf coalition which presided over the boom and bust years of 2005-2009, marred by bribery, corruption and nepotism.

God this is just so depressing. Let's hope the election monitors take note - they only found these, where's the rest?
