Interview of (Sofia News Agency) and with Meglena Kuneva, leader of the party "Bulgaria for Citizens Movement" about the upcoming general elections on May 12.

Meglena Kuneva is a former Minister of EU Affairs in the government of Simeon Saxe-Coburg and the NSMP party (2001-2005), the three-way coalition government (2005-2007), Bulgaria's Chief Negotiator in the EU accession talks in 2001-2007, and Bulgaria's first EU Commissioner in 2007-2009, when she was in charge of consumer protection.

Kuneva ran as independent candidate for President of the Republic of Bulgaria in the 2011 presidential elections.

How would you describe the pre-election campaign so far? What are your impressions from your travels across the country?

At least she's learned her lesson: no more State Corruption....if she gets her hands on the money it'll be a very privatised affair.

The Witch had her chance to deliver on her promises when she was in government for 8 years (first with the King and then with the Commies and Turks) and sure did she deliver: massive corruption, stealing money on an unprecedented sale from ordinary Bulgarians, along with nepotism and cronyism - and she expects us to believe that this time it will be different.....

Valid concerns articulated in this interview, and a long way to go for Bg to get where it needs to be..
Where it doesn't need to be is to be more "European", as this implies Northern Europe, which is falling apart..
