Commenting article: Bulgaria's Passion for Dilma. A Bit over the Top?

If Kenya celebrated the victory of Barak Obama, Bulgaria had every right to celebrate 'Dilma' of Bulgarian descent. But the expectations over the Brazilian president's visit here were way too high.

The huge spick-and-span windows of Bulgaria's first gymnasium reflect the rays of the scorching sun as hundreds line up for a chance to take a glimpse of a woman who has made  headlines all over the world. Once she appears, the silent crowd breaks into cheers and applause.

Will Dilma's roots from the past test the Transparency of Brazil as a country of true Democracy?

Watch the falling pawns of her Ministries and when will their be a Checkmate?

One has to look closely at the multi-national company involvment in Brazil, for example, General Motors, Ford, Toyoto, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen, Scania, Esso-Mobil, Texaco, Shell, Food Sectors like Cargill and Bunge.

The macro-Brazilian companies are far and few.

The small Brazilian companies are not given an opportunity due to high interest rates found in Brazil while the multi-nationals have the international financial markets.

Bulgaria is a very important hub for entry in EU and Balkan markets for Brazil and that includes Brazilan investment in Bulgarian Agriculture and industrialized minerals.

The symbol of Dilma for Bulgaria, one can see a women in a Macho Country with Portuguese tradition become a President, why not a women President for Bulgaria.

I second that!!

too much excitement over this woman. like I understand that an average bulgarian would be somewhat proud. but thats it. no more.

Boyko thinks Dilma is the one who will take us out of the crisis.... Boyko makes me laugh.
