The driver of the car which crashed into a crowd on Queen's Day in the Netherlands Thursday has died.
The man, who has been charged with attempting an attack on the Dutch Royal Family during the celebrations in the town of Apeldoorn, has died Friday morning because of his serious injuries in the crash, CNN reported citing Dutch police.
The man's name has not been released. The police have searched his house but have found no clues linked to the incident....
Now we will never find out why he did it. Maybe it was a suicide attempt--he was counting on the police shooting him if he tried to attack the Queen's motorcade. Maybe he was some crazed drug user who was just too cowardly to kill himself. Who knows what his story is? He killed 5 innocent people and he can't be held accountable now.
Meaning no disrespect to anyone, dying could well be the best for him, instead of facing the responsibility for an assassination attempt against a reigning monarch.
So far as I can tell, the Duch people really love their Queen, and if the police didn't get him, they would.
